He's never seen Riku so uncertain before, staring over the window ledge, towards the ground that doesn't appear to be so far away, but he certainly knows it to be. Peter and Tinkerbell have elected to stay on the sidelines because they apparently don't like him as much as Sora does, and Sora is perfectly fine with that.
He hovers just outside the window, grinning cockily. "C'mon, Riku! It's not like you'll fall!"
Riku shoots a glare through silver bangs. "That's precisely what'll happen."
The brunette flips backwards leisurely, choosing to ignore the irritability directed towards him and takes a glance towards the fairy and the eternal child. Waiting for Riku probably wasn't on the top of their to-do list. Still, Sora's not really worried about them. They're good friends to wait, but Sora came to spend time with Riku and show him all the magnificent things he did on his journeys and the things he could do with his friend now that they had found each other again. "Chicken."
"Is that right?"
The keyblader's grin fades and he offers a hand and a gentle smile. "Don't worry, Riku. I'll catch you if you fall."
He can see the light dusting and hear his scoff as hi silver-headed, proud, stubborn Riku climbs on the window sill. There isn't the least bit of hesitation, but Sora knows he's working hard not to drag himself under. Flight is one of those things that seems like it requires a light to do and Riku is black. Riku is a darkness that consumes and he's probably afraid that he can't manage it. Whatever his reason is, Sora refuses to accept it. Sora knows Riku's not as tall, dark and brooding as he likes to think. Deep inside, Riku's just big cuddly kitten.
"Happy thoughts!" He encourages.
Riku shoots him another look that Sora pays no mind to and waits patiently for him to jump. The moment he does, he reaches out, catches his hands, even though it's unnecessary.
"See? I told you I'd catch you!"
Riku frowns, shoots him and glare and pulls away and his thoughts must not be nice or happy because Sora's gotta catch him from falling (though he never realized how heavy he was). "This is stupid."
"Happy... thoughts!"
When Riku is lighter and Sora is hanging loosely to his hands, Peter gives a small cheer and says they're off.
"So..." The brunette leans in, gives his adorable boyfriend a quick kiss and grins. "What's your happy thought?"
Riku snorts. "You'll have to wait till we find a room, won't you?"
