Summary: What he proposes, the way he speaks, it's all insanity to him.
Disclaimer: Blood Plus is Gay is an uber awesome community and that's where I found the icon.
They all fear death. They are all driven by the yearning to live, to walk in the sunlight, to escape this prison they call home. The large, heavy grates and thick steel walls separate each of them, but he knows they are there, constantly speaking with each other, talking calmly.
It’s Moses’ calm that reassures him that there is hope beyond the walls they are confined in.
When that calm is gone and he is yelling, crying out his frustrations and fears, Karman shudders in response. He can’t believe it. The sanity that had reassured him and protected him is lost. He speaks of rallying together. Moses tells them that they can get out of there if they work together. They don’t have to wait for the Thorn to kill them. There is a cure out there and they can find it.
It’s all insanity! How can they get away? But that insanity sinks into his being and his fire blazes and after their questions are answered with vague but reassuring words, he reaches his hand up through the large holes of the grate. He’s in. He has to see where the hell this Moses intends to lead them.
